Actually, I'm laughing at it more than anything... you know metal bands don't really take all that stuff seriously, right? That they're deliberately being ridiculous? And no, I won't petition to stop anybody from making art that isn't unequivocally hurting people, even if it meant that The Busters and plush mealybugs would never have come into existence. Besides which, people can like music for a wide variety of reasons. Identifying with it is only one, and if somebody does identify with those kinds of harsh sentiments, maybe it's better that they have some music to help them think about it than just being totally alone. And me, I might put it on if I just want some obnoxious music to blast while I'm cleaning, and I can see it as interesting social commentary without actually being quite that cynical myself.
